BizVetsConnect³ is a nonprofit business community serving veteran owned, startup, and active duty owned businesses in Clarksville, Tennessee, Montgomery County, and the Fort Campbell region. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site or joining our community, you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us directly, including when you apply for a membership, sponsor a business as a Fan, or contact us. This can include your business name, your name, email address, phone number, business address and county, business category, website and social links, and your veteran or military status. If you upload verification documentation, such as a DD-214 or NGB-22, we collect that document to review your status.
When you make a donation, our third party payment processor handles your card details. We do not see or store full card numbers. We receive a confirmation that the donation was completed, along with basic details needed for our records.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the community and to serve you: to list approved businesses in our member directory, to manage memberships and donations, to plan and run events, to produce and feature Fan sponsored advertisements, to verify veteran or military status, and to communicate with you about your membership, events, and community updates.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your information. Authorized members of our Board of Directors access member and donor information through a secure board portal to run the organization. We share information with trusted service providers who help us operate, such as our website host and our payment processor, only as needed to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our community.
Veteran and Military Documentation
Documents you upload to verify veteran or military status are used only to confirm that status for your listing. Your membership stays active while the board reviews your documentation, and a verification badge is added once approved.
Cookies and Analytics
We aim to keep the site lean. We may use basic, privacy respecting analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. If we add analytics or similar tools, they will be used to measure general usage, not to build advertising profiles of you.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to run the community, provide your listing, meet our records and legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to update or remove your listing at any time.
Your Choices
You can ask to review, update, or remove your business listing and contact details by emailing us. You can also opt out of non essential emails at any time.
Children's Privacy
Our site and community are intended for business owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to safeguard what you share with us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
